Your just jelous. You liked the fake blowoff valve sound maker thingy. Admit it. :p

Well, contrary to what some people say is a good idea, using a remote solenoid did not work for me. I know that a lot of people have success with it, but it did not work for me.

I can not feed my starter solenoid from the same source, ie, a remote solenoid. When I did, my starter solenoid would run on for a few seconds.

So, instead of feeding both my starter and starter solenoid off of the same wire;

I now am feeding my starter with a remote solenoid (becuase of my trunk mount battery)

and I am using an 8 guage wire for my factory solenoid "start" wire.

Here is my schematic (don't be scared):

Ken, one thing I recalled from the past...my car used to do the same thing to me altho it had no trunk mounted battery.

I finally discovered that the alarm system was going high resistance on the starter interrupt (aftermarket alarm) when it got hot. Fixed the connections and the problem was fixed...only took me three months to figure it out.. :D

I'm thinking that a multiple of gremlins have come together to cause me grief. Since cleaning my grounds up, I have not had a repeat of the 'no-start' condition, but I still have hard starting. And my volts light comes on sporadically still. Sometimes it comes on for the duration of a short trip (3-5 miles). Sometimes it comes on and goes out. Most times it doesn't come on at all. My battery reads low on all cells with the baster tester. My current theory: bad alternator causes bad battery. Add in bad grounds and I get no start. Now that the grounds are clean, I am still left with a failing alternator, bad battery, and poor starting.
