Starts one day but not the next

Started last week but not on Sat. Started on Monday but not on Tuesday. Cranks but doesn't even try. The other day it started in the moring but later took a while to start and did not start at the end of the day. Seems to get fuel but maybe doesn't get spark?? Computer?? Fuel injected engine. Either no gas from injectors or no spark. Right??

I would verify fuel pressure first. With a gauge.

I just went through this myself. If you find you are not getting spark check the crank sensor and the cam sensor. The cam sensor was my problem as the interrupter ring had play in it. Just had to tighten the bolt that holds it in place.

Maybe bad MAF? Twice I experienced hard starting and it was the MAF both times. But the car always started, just cranked a little longer.

Good point. I forget about the MAF being I no longer run one.
