Anyone tried a rack & pinion system on the GN? Or any of the shorter ratio steering boxes. Rack & pinion would allow removal of p.s.pump & steering box saving weight and free up some space.

Unless you are building a 7 sec. race car or a high dollar street rod, you will quickly find out this is expensive and little gain for what needs to be done, like remove the engine for access and welding.

Installing a S-10 manual steering box for $100 would be a good alternative!

I didn't have to blow thru the frame for mine

On your install is there room for a bigger style SLIC ? looks close and I see you have a front mount.
