is there anyone still making the far better plexi type headlight covers? dont want to go back to the ghetto type LUND or velcro GTS ones...

ME TOO

I would also like to know if anyone knows if the good headlight covers are still available. Someone has to still me making them I would think. Thanks.

There was a dude on ebay a little while back who made covers for our TRs. I wanted a set of clear ones for my '87 and when I searched for them he disappeared and haven't seen 'em since.

I've had the LUND clear covers on my GN for about 7 years now. I think they look pretty good, not ghetto.:D

I did however have to spend a lot of time trimming them down for a nice flush fit however. Don't know why they couldn't get a better fit right out of the box.

Don't know if they are still available or not. Just be forewarned, if they didn't improve on them you will need to remove the rubber gasket around them trim the plexi and then reglue the trim.

BTW, Red Regal T on the board, used to sell clear lense covers. They had to be screwed to the headlight bezels though. Don't think he makes them any more.

Here are some pics of my GN with the LUND covers.

Don't even know if they are still available. Tried doing an web search but couldn't find anything.

Hmmm, might have a possible new product coming out.:)

WOW i had said "ghetto" on my post because i basicly put the tinted LUNDS i had right on the car out of the box (they looked a lil less than hasty or terrible). But I didnt consider TRIMMING them up so they would actually FIT flushed to the headlight framing...more stuff to look into doing upon my arrival back home after vacation! yay! lol thanks!:D

hate to just jump in, but before i got the gts, i could not find anyone that carried then or if they did, they did'nt have them in stock it was one thing after another so i just got the gts, they are a little bit too big but you can trim them down to ffit.

My Headlight Covers custom made for $20

Research first and ask around.

You can make your own with cardboard and plastic in clear or black and then fit over headlight with velcro, just in case you get pulled over by the local police.

Either way -- you will have to add glue and materials to hold place. I made mine for about $20.00 plus labor

Here is a link of both ways that I used -- I prefer the bottom version that goes around the headlights and not around the head light bezel. My head light bezel needs to be replaced. They are fading around the tops. Place velcro on both sides, cut one piece in half and use enough to hold in place.

Now that I got my buick back and have a bezel for a pattern :) I'm looking into the feasiblilty of making these...and if I do, you know they'll FIT, and they'll be available in whatever color that I can get!

Since smoked covers are popular, but suck because they dim the lights, and they're illegal in places, I've also got an idea on how to fix THAT problem too....
:D

Just need to find some time...(the hard part!)

LOL, good luck finding those. I've been looking for a set ever since I got my GN. I called Philips themselves, and they said they haven't made them in YEARS, and had no clue where to find any
