Guys from Corvette Forum hit MIR Saturday with a completely STOCK Z06 on RUN FLATS went 10.98 @128.90. Same car switched to DR's went 10.83 @ 130.05.

Got to hand it to those Corvette boys, those STOCK cars have got their s**t together

Long read but interesting, with time slips and video at

2 New Z06 Records in 1/4 mile! - Corvette Forum

for 84K off showroom floor plus another ?$? in mods to run high 10's...if i only had extra 10K to stick into the buick id be competing with that.

Zo6 is fun to drive, ive logged a couple thousand miles on a customer of mines Z06 but 12mpg, i couldnt afford to buy one let alone keep fuel in it. and id get looks of the money to burn, small penis kind everytime i stopped to refuel. Now when IM drivng this, its different, people wave and ask questions when i stop.

Original motor is bagged up on stand, quick swap back and forth between that and the one in pic which is DZ block with bowtie heads

FYI, new Z06's are now available at $7,500 or more OFF MSRP, No more +$20,000 over as was the case in 2006. Last week a 2007 Z06 with 1300 miles sold for $62,000.

BTW, the Z's get around town, if driven LIGHTLY, around 20MPG, and on long cruises, get up to 30 MPG! Incredible for a car on par, performance wise to $150,000-$250,000 exotics.

How much is an under 20,000 mile ORIGINAL GN now worth? I know Ron Moon, with the most optioned GN, turned down $50,000 for it! GN's are truly THE muscle car to own. The new Corvettes are just GREAT strret drivers!

Yes that great for my information although I never seen 20 mpg during my 2 week stint with the z06 and as far as price? if it was 30k i couldnt afford to insure it so there i sit. but id take my 61 over the 2006 anyday of the week even though it kills my lower back to log more then 60 miles at a time. and i love this buick, lots of fun to drive and when i stop, those in the know compliment it as well

Actually, $67,000 BRAND NEW 08 ZO62008 Jetstream Blue 1lz Z06 - Corvette Forum

I found a few that were better deals, damn id love to have that car but it already sold.

I believe the first link in this thread shows a bone stock zo6 on run flats that ran a 10 second pass. So ?$? would be ZERO

Damn good looking car.

yeah i see now, bone stock.. impressive but for the money id rather have 2 classics, maybe 3.. alot of "will sacrifice" for sale right now.

Sorry i miss read the thread so my response to original post is..

Wow impressive

Ya i hear ya. Impressive cars and i too would rather have a few "other" older toys that will appreciate in time. I would hate to pay 67 GRAND for that car, and in 10 years , who knows it might be worth... 45K, maybe less, maybe more???

Instead of loosing 22 grand on a car in 10 years, id rather keep my money in my pocket  I just hate loosing money in cars, theres no fun in that.

Man that's just not fair. 10's bone stock. I want one!

Cool Bryan, for a sec i thought i was starting to agerrvate this thread.

One must keep in mind that they are fun cars to drive but every time i stopped and got out, people would look at it yes, but i always got the feeling that they would make the same comment under thier breaths as i always would in reference to the too much money and too small a penis for which both do NOT apply to me:biggrin:..well my woman does tell me 5inch is just right..lol but non the less it just wasnt me..id rather have a 67 chevy wagon or my old 68 GS400 rag top back

And im always willing to stop and talk to people if they ask que's about the 61 and it reminds me that all the hard work i put into it paid off

that car is awsome and a value provided the performance! I can't afford it but if I had the money , I'd get one. I like my gn but if any one wants to trade

Hell no, its a vette and this is a buick site:biggrin: We can all get along :)

Haha, the other part of your post makes me think of Andrew Dice Clay.... "Give me 12 inches and hurt me." "So i *blanked* her twice and hit her in the head with a brick:biggrin: LOL

Ahhh the dice man
