Do the Monte, Cutlass, Regal, CZ tranny's use D5 converters? If not, what stall speed do they run at? What is the normal stall speed of a D5?

Sometimes!

I've seen the d-5's in the CZ's. They are for sure in the BRF. The stock stall speed of a D-5 is 2025.

A buddy of mine is wanting a higher converter for his Monte and I'm wondering if a D5 would be any better. I have a couple spares but we havent pulled his yet. If anybody can verify, I would appreciate it. Also, the converter will also have a different stall speed with different applications right?

I've read the D6 that came in the monte's were like 1600-1800 & the D5 out of the Buick had around 400 plus more. I can tell you if you have a D6 in a buick it will be a dog!
