Where can I send a stock d5 to get rebuilt? About how much...

Just looking for stock replacement,trans has a D7 not a D5,so I need an entirely different convertor. I know I can get a 2800 D5 from CK for about $300,he doesn't list a pure stock D5.

That's most likely your best bet.

The D7 is actually a higher stall pump, but it could have a 19 blade stator making the stall speed somewhere around 1650-1675. If it had a 14 blade stator the D7 would stall around 2075. A stock D-5 stalls at 2025. The only problem is a D-7 naturally isn't furnace brazed like the D-5.

Mike.

I have a D7 on my car now and it pulls super hard at 750 RPM. It’s a POS.
The car builds boost at about 2300 RPM anything lower and it’s a cow:mad:

i hope to get my new trans and D5 with HD bearing in this week end.
