Stock exhaust trim wheel

Does the stock turbo have the same T-31 trim wheel that the TE-44 or TA-49 have by Garret or are they alittle smaller?

Smaller, its what is refereed to as a Stage I .

T3 Stage I 2.319"/1.90" = 48.26 mm ( stock turbo)

T3 Stage II 2.559"/2.122" = 53.89 mm

T3 Stage III 2.559" / 2.228" = 56.6 mm (Precision T31)

T3 Stage V (T350) 2.795" / 2.437" = 61.89 mm (Precision T350)

Thanks for the numbers. How would the exhaust housing openings vary given the differant sizes of trim wheels-is there a clearance number they go by for the opening?

No, the Exhaust wheel clearances are always VERY tight. Basically the exhaust housings are measured in A/R. Here is a link that will help explain.
