I have the stock headers for my car.The one on the drivers side is a direct new stock replacement header. They don't make them for the passengers side.I have an exhaust leak and it definately is in the area of the passenger's side headers towards the front of the engine although its possible it could be from the turbo mounted on the flange. For one thing when the car warms up the exhaust leak is alot quieter,I was going to take the header and turbo off and send the header out for a 2000 Degree ceramic coating and if it has a crack fix that too.If its cracked it might be under the heat shield because with a mirror no cracks can be seen.I am not ruling out the turbo to the 3 bolt flange though. Also my headers don't have gaskets do most guys go without the gaskets?I want to stay with the stock header set up too.I was wondering does anyone know anybody who ceramic coats header as well as fixes them? Are those heat shields easy to come off on the headers?

poston's

Poston's makes a stock replacement for both sides. I know, I have them.

Its really common for the turbo flanges to warp, both on the headers and on the turbo exhaust housing.

The headers are pretty easy to file back flat, the exhaust housing isn't so easy.

I filed for days on my turbo exhaust housing then gave up and bought a copper ATR gasket.

Before the gasket, My GN ran 14.8@98 mph, eventually getting to 15 psi through the traps. After the gasket, instant spool.

I wouldn't even think about headers at this point until you take off the turbo and check for leaks/flatness

When you say check for leaks or flatness you mean with the car running?I have the turbo on also with a real good copper gasket.I was told one of the main things is to make sure everything is straight.I did put RTV sealent on both sides of the gasket .I however did not torque the 3 bolts on the flange all the same.I just tightened them. Are they supposed to be torqued equally? and at how many lbs of torque? maybe thats why it is leaking if it is not the header. Its just impossible to tell if its the turbo to flange or header crack.I really don't want to take the headers off.It would save me alot of work but its on or the other. Thanks for the advice. :D
