How fast can your car go with TA62 with stock heads. Heads only have the Kirban 100 lbs springs and new GM seals. Car Has rebuilt motor w/billet caps, 55 lb inj, 307 fuel pump, V4 IC, exhaust, 218/218 cam. I have a 3200 stall conv non-lockup. Car will get a new set of ported GN-1 heads in the next couple of months, but I would like to know where it would stand now. Thanks

It all depends..... what are your 60' times, how much boost are you running, and is the car tuned properly??? The only way to really find out is to run it at the track. I would think with a 1.6 or 1.5 60' time and running about 22-24lbs(maybe a couple more lbs of boost) the car should run an 11.20 @120mph. With the GN1 aluminum heads that car should run high 10's with only about 20-22lbs of boost with a 1.5 60'. Just my 2 cents

I can tell you how fast my car went. I have my original motor still in car never apart. I also run a TA-62 turbo. The best I ran was 11.12 @ 120.4mph. You can see more of my car at my web site. Hope that helps

Basically it's how much boost you want to throw at it and keep knock out of the picture. I'll be putting a TE-45a on my car with stock heads and I'm gonna cram as much boost in it as I can, I just have to keep knock to 0* at boost levels 26-28psi. Just gonna have to tune tune tune is all. Just run the good gas and slowly crank it up....I'll bet 24-26psi wouldn't be out of the question.
