How many people have the stock radiator with electric fan and are able to maintain 160-170*tempture. what fan is everyone running?

I have a 2100 cfm fan and my car wants to go to 220+ if I let it idle. (will be at 160-170 when cruising on highway at 60.)

I have a stock size radiator with my dual Ramcharger fans on it......no probs............runs right at 160 to 165 in town with the switch always on..........Highway it would run at 195 or so. But, I was running a front mount intercooler(spearco) at the time.

You got a 160 degree thermo?

Nick

Your fan is not a reversable fan is it?? Could be on wrong and pushing instead of pulling?? Try cleaning out the radiator or flushing the system all together??

Fan is pulling like it should and putting out a good amount.....Also the radiator is brand new only been on for about a month.

I would try flushing the system, I cant see why your car would run at 220 degrees when just idling, expesionally with the fan ON.
maybe you just have a passage that is blocked a little that is slowing the flow down. Nick

Is the fan flush with your radiator? Did you make an air tight seal between the fan and radiator?

Thermostat stuck open?

waterpump...

Could be the water pump i guess....its been on for awhile.....cant remember last time it was replaced.

Fan is sealed good to radiator. And thermostat working right.
