Stock Shift Handle Install?

Hey guys. Been doing some small stuff on the car while waiting on help with my smoking problem (gonna do a leak down). Decided to clean up this stock shift handle I bought from someone at MAGNA. All it came with was the handle. I have a billet aluminum shifter right now that has set screws attaching it to the white plastic stalk. I see that I need some sort of U-clip to secure the stock handle to the shifter. Is there an intermediate piece that transfers the horizontal button push to push down on the plastic stalk? Does anyone know where to get these? Trying to return the interior to stock.

just installed one on my car. if you look inside the handle you should see the plastic part that pushes the lock down when you press the button

other than that, gingerly press it on to the shifter and install the U-clip to hold it in place.

thanks! Made my own clip by heating up and bending a copper clip into a U shape. Dont know how long that will last since it gets brittle when bent.
