I just bought an 84 and the flange that connects the crossover pipe to the turbo is broken in half and two of the mounting ears are cracked off. I've called everyone i can think of and haven't been able to locate it so if anyone knows where I can get it it would be GREATLY aprreciated. The one place I did find is called EIP Tuning but they said they needed the model of my turbo to give me the correct flange. So if anyone knows the size or model of the stock turbo please put it on here real quick.Thanks.

Slightly Confused.

Your Crossover Pipe does not connect directly to the Turbo.

Which connection are you talking about?

The Inlet pipe (has braided metal on it stock) that is just before the Turbo, and forms a "twisted" 90 degree bend connects the header to the Turbo.

Are you looking for the gasket/spacer/3 hole flange that goes inbetween the Inlet pipe, and the Turbo?

Ummm...you're going to need to explain a little better about what is broken...The crossover pipe doesn't connect directly to the turbo...

Are you talking about the cast iron exhaust turbine housing has two ears broken off???

Sorry for the bad explanation there. I'm talking about the gasket/spacer flange that connects the inlet pipe (with the metal braid) to the turbo. It's flat on the side that connects to the turbo and has a flare on the exhaust size. Anyone know where I can get it? Hope I explined better this time.

John Craig with Limit Engineering should have some extra 84/5 exhaust turbine housings...Harry Hruska with Precision Turbo(PTE) should have some as well, Patrick at PTE will help you out if you call them...

Jim.....he is not describing the exhaust housing.

On the Stock 84/85's there is a gasket/spacer between the inlet pipe, and the Turbo exhaust housing. Most of the time they get brittle, and break. The one that I currently have on my car is missing an Ear, but I clocked it around so you could not see it.

You might want to try to contact Brian Weaver about this part...hopefully he has some spare 84/85 hard to find parts around.

Just direct him to this thread, and he should know what we mean.

Ok I emailed Brian and told him what I was looking for and told him to come to this post. Hopefully himself or someone here can find this thing. Thanks for all your help so far, I've gotten closer to this part with the post on here than I did with weeks of calling around. Keep it up guys :D

DOH!!!! hehehe...my mistake...Bweavy should be able to help you there...

Doesn't the ATR uppipe eliminate that piece??? That might be another option if you have the money to spend on a new uppipe...The stock expansion bellows that is on the stock uppipe is prone to leakage anyway, maybe will end up needing a new pipe regardless...

I got the ATR up pipe and it'll be here tuesday. Hopefully it works and I don't have to keep searching for this piece that no one can seem to locate. I guess I'll see tuesday. Thanx for lettin me know about the ATR.
