Don't have an idea of what they're made of. Just curious if I could weld RJC's valvecover spacers to them. Thanks. :)

i wouldnt weld the spacers on , what works for me is to clean the head surface (most performance irons already have the surface milled ), then with a bead of right stuff RTV glue the spacers to the head being sure to line up with bolts, then all you need when servicing is a normal gasket which locks into the stock cover nicely

now i feel stupid for wasting my time to type a response
if you had done even the slight bit of research you would have found out the same as i posted

heres jasons advice on install

RJC Valve Cover Ext.

Are they aluminum ?

Chill & thanx man. I wanted to know if they were the same material, 4 weld up. This way avoid eventual leakage in between & use 1 set of gaskets only. Even if I searched, I think nobody has ever asked this "stupid" ? before. Thanx.

not a bad idea if you plan on keeping the valve covers for awhile. i can understand why you would do this and it makes since.

the problem is if you do attach to the covers the spacers are flat on the bottom so nothing really to keep the gasket inplace , thats why its not such a good idea
the spacer on head also allows for removal of cover without the usual associated oil drip from the corner onto the headers , and removal intall is easier since he cover is shorter

and yeah its hot here even with a/c and i'm old and cranky sometimes :)
