Which ecm should i get for the my 87 gn? I want to still be able to use all my same fuel lines injectors pumps etc. Which one should i get so that it will be better than the stock ecm. And also not have to worry about blowing the engine up cause it only has 28k on it and we want to keep it in pretty good shape. any suggestions?

The ECM is what your chip plugs into :). If you are not going to at least upgrade the fuel pump (which is marginal at best and is 15 years old) then stay with the stock chip. The only way you are going to blow up your motor is by having a heavy right foot, low octane gas, no scan tool and basic neglect. You need some sort of scan tool to monitor the engine operating conditions, such as 02 numbers, knock and crucial tuning settings.
I understand your concern for your motor, but they are a lot tougher than you think.
Do some reading about the basic spring-cleaning
http://www.gnttype.org/maint/basics.html and some recipe setups. http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/recipes/recipepage.html Slowly do the basic upgrades and you will be very pleased with the performance and all around driveability it will give.
