Stock Wastegate Solonoid Is Capped

Usually there is a filter on one of the ports,but for some reason its capped w a rubber cap. Is it safe? just curious

funny thing is car spools just fine n turbo kicks in. its my first rue pure stocker and was quite impressed w throttle response. I dont have a boost guage yet so idk how much im doing and i havent harassed the car,yet

The solenoid may be bad and in the "open" position, which may be why the need for the cap.

If you don't have any on you, I could come over and install one of the new ones that came out from autometer.

It's the new PRO COMP HARASSOMETER and is accurate down to the syllable.

My only fear is that you may have the damn thing redlined so long that it would short out within a week!!

Actually, I own the patent/copyright on the Harassometer. I've licensed it to Autometer.
Every forum needs someone to keep things lively. Much better than crying all the time......
As for what gauges I have on me....I carry my 12" ruler, everywhere I go!

Is it possible that you might have a manual boost controller installed, and thats why they capped the original wastegate solenoid ports since it's not working.

Beside being all original, I gather you don't have a boost gauge.
Do you have a Scanmaster?
I won't be doing any WOT without some type of gauges and a Scanmaster of letting you know what is going on with engine and boost level.

I havent even gone. Half way into the pedal. I have a scanmaster boost n fuel press guage is on the way..
