Ive got a really weird timing event occurring and I was able to capture it on the powerlogger. When the gets up on boost timing will be steady at 19* then it will misfire and buck. The PL showed that timing went to 85*!! I decreased the boost and got higher rpm before it acted up. With higher boost it acted up at a lower rpm. That leads me to believe that it is load related. Otherwise the car drives great. I will test the coil and module in the morning with a Caspers tester but I figure its between the coil/module or crank sensor. The BHJ balancer is tight and the reluctor wheel is also tight on the balancer. Any ideas?

unplug the cam sensor after you start the car and try again. If the nut that holds the wiring to the ign module is tight, back it off 1/4 turn.

If that doesn't change anything I'll guess the ign module.

Pulled out the tester this morning. Checked the coil and module on the car and an extra. The extra fired continously but one section of coil pack misfires. The one on the car fired strong until the whole thing just quit. I made sure there was good contact between everything but it did it again. Its a BorgWarner module that has been good for a long time. Guess I'll have to get it warrantied out and retest.

Changed the ignition module that tested bad. Same result. Here is a picture of what its doing. There was no knock retard but look at what the injector DC% does. I will disconnect the cam sensor like earl suggested and retest. Any other ideas?

I'll see if I can get it to upload Eric. Thanks. This has an SD chip.

Does anyone know if the file uploaded properly?

It loaded. Something is really odd. you're NB O2s are flatlined but they go lean at the first of the file, but the WB doesn't show lean accordingly.

Did you ever fire it up, unplug the can sensor and see what that does?

Earl, there is no narrow band O2 sensor in use on here. It runs an original SD chip from Eric. I was going to try the cam sensor like you said but it started raining. This weather has been lovely down here.

Parameter #4 (high gear spark) is not correct, set that back to 128. That might be causing the issue.

I'll have to look at that Eric. Its strange that it would change. I don't mess with the timing settings for high versus low gear. I have a th400 so there is no seeing when its in high gear. Thanks

It's done by MPH, not gear. In your case about 60mph.
I would take the Powerlogger off, re-clean the ECM connector, and slide it back on. You might also wrap some electrical tape all the way around the ECM and Powerlogger board to secure it from moving around.
Eric

Well I got it fixed. I did what Eric said. Recleaned the ecm board and taped the powerlogger to it so there can be no movement. I also went through all of my parameter setting and compared them to my log book. #4 was the only one to be different. Not sure how that changed but it did. Took it out for a spin and its all good. Streets are cold so traction is nonexistent even with DRs but it pulled up to 6000rpm and 25 psi of boost like a freight train. I tried to post a log from the laptop but the site wont come up. Thanks for the help guys.

here is a log that i recorded after resetting everything back to where it was before. All i need now is a day to go to the track and hook up.
