looking for a good durable flashlight... i had a maglight that had a LED bulb it in and man that sucker was bright, but, it rolled off my tool box and quit working. :( so, im looking for a new flashlight and i came across this flashlight:

Streamlight Task Flashlight

i'm looking at the twin task light.

does anyone know anything about these lights? are they good quality pieces. and i know LED bulbs nearly last forever (something like 100,000 hours, which would be the same as leaving the light on for 11.5 years straight.) but what about these Xenon bulbs? do they last as long?

thanks

We use the rechargeable ones at work. They are very bright and a charge lasts a long time. If the one you are looking at is anywhere near as good as mine you will love it.

LED Flashlights

If you're looking for a LED flashlight. Check this guy out (Charlie Wong) http://www.darkgear.com/mrbulk/ He makes some good(BRIGHT) LED flashlights. Most of us here bought his new "Super LGI"(Very BRIGHT) and it runs on 3AA batteries.(cheep to replace) Vers. most lights that runs on 123 Lithium's. Tell him Guy sent you.

Prior to your making a decision, you might want to check out a flashlight system called "Sure-Fire" flashlights.
They were available at the gun shows or you might want to try a place called "Leach Products" or do a search under Surefire or Sure-Fire. I own neither one, but if I was buying, I would look into the surefire before purchasing a flashlight system.
They appear to be very quality oriented and well made.
A better looking unit that any of the others.

If you're looking for something you can actually 'see' with at night, check out a Saber Light. This is what they issue us at work and they last pretty well, too.
