Kenne Bell and Accufab are the same one. It sounds like Turbo Regal web-site needs updating. Crushing the the regulator was done at a time when there was not any good adjustable regulators. The late eighties for example.

where can i buy a kenne bell fuel pressure regulator? i cant find it on the web. this is frustrating for someone who knows computers and how to locate stuff on the net  LOL i wanna do things right the first time, i really appreciate the help people!

The link that gnx7 provided is excellent.

The sequence of upgrades is just as important as the upgrades themselves. Don't throw a bunch of boost at it until you have adequate fueling, etc. Resist the tendency to conclude that "bigger is better".

Baseline the car, keep it in a high state of tune, live and breath the scan tool data. Make one change at a time and confirm you are on the right path. Go slow, be methodical, keep good notes.

These are amazing vehicles, but it is very easy to get completely lost by trying to do too much, too fast.

Invest 1 hour in research for every $10 you intend to spend.

Good Luck,

on the link I put up for performance recipe. On Stage 3 skip installing the line lock and you don't need drag rims/tires. Just get Nitto DR's instead.

These tires are good to mid 11's.

I you like a more aggressive sound ATR makes a nice single 3" s/s exhaust $395. Cottons has one that is aluminumized and $295 I believe and not as aggressive as a tone. Some say the ATR unit is very barky.... Personnally I like my car as sleeper as possible. Don't advertise that you have heat under the hood.

Also..... of note. The GN/TType is one of the most highly stolen vehicles around. If you do park your car in the driveway make sure it'll be there when you come out. I would suggest multiple theft protection devices. Kill switch, alarm, column antitheft shell.
When parking in iffy areas or even overnight at my house outside.... I would remove the entire ECM and take it inside. Just trying to help.... not make you paranoid.

Whoa, wait a minute. Not smart. You'd rather heat up your transmission doing even a light, dry burnout than spend $150 to have a line-lock installed?
Drag radials or not, skipping a line-lock is nuts.

whats the link for the line lock? im open for all suggestions guys! im looking into getting a new fuel pump and plugs for this weekend.... what do you all suggest?

IMO a downpipe is another good first mod, it has really opened up my turbo, especially with the exhaust and test pipe :). Also, I am planning on getting a Walbro fuel pump, thats what I will be getting soon. Plus I have heard a lot of good things about the RJC powerplate, it will allow you to turn the boost up without knocking

i just picked up a Walbro fuel pump and a hot wire kit too :D ill be getting these in by the weekend i hope. im also hoping this will take care of the car falling on its face at high boost... i also want to buy new spark plugs... what do you all recommend and what should i gap them at? thanks!

i have been trying to search the archives here but i cant find what im looking for... where can i get a scanmaster? is there a website for it? what does the scanmaster sell for? thanks for any info!

Scanmaster version 2.1
I got mine from ramchargers. ABout 249 if memory serves me (which dont happen too often..lol)

2 other things I am very surprised that havent been mentioned yet (maybe they have, but see my memory quote above)

Boost gauge,, definately need one, an accurate one,
Fuel pressure gauge that can be watched while driving.

I would also make sure that you have followed the spring cleaning for these cars to the letter.
What, if any mods are on the car now? Fuel pump, hotwire kit, exhaust, and afp reg right? anything else? Chip, big k&n, "free" mods (tb coolant lines, thermostat, adjustable wastegate rod)?

This is a great thread! I just bought my T-Type 3 weeks ago and I'm one happy mofo. I ran a 14.4 @ 101 2 days after I bought it. I then threw in a 3500 stall Vig. converter and ran 13.9 @ 100. I thought the tc was bad but I guess it's really the turbo. Can't wait to get a t60!

which one is better, scanmaster or turbolink? oh on a side note.. i finally got that old gas out of the GN, put some fresh 93 octane in it.. man does the car move! i got on it a little and when the car hits second gear, it went side ways!!! did i mention i love my new car :D
