street legal vs et help

Can someone help me out?There is a guy at work that says if your car is 10.00 or faster you can't drive it on the street legal.Can someone tell me how to tell him he is WRONG?Thanks

If that was the case, none of the ricers would be able to drive their cars Has he told you what branch of the DMV has the 10dot0 police to check your car...LOL There are a bunch of 9 sec mustakes running around my area and they don't have a problem getting a tag and insurance.

How do they know its a 10 second car. I know a few people with blown bbc's that are pushing well over 1000 hp, but they don't take it to the track. As long as it has all the required safety equiptment, turn signals, head and brake lights etc it is street legal.

the only thing that would make it illegal would maybe be emisions violations. other then that...nothing.
