Of the following injectors...50lb, 57lb, and 60lb (high- impedence) which display better street manners [ie. idle quality, tip in stumble, overall richness at idle, etc.] I know 50's are supposed to be very linear and act close to stock. Suggestions and/or comments (from experience)

I also heard that 50 #er's are just over priced 42.5#er's my vote would be for the lucas 009's 42.5 you should have those up their or the 55 #'s. but also what are you looking to do with this car?

I believe all three have been proven to have perfect street manners w/ the right chip.

I'm gonna disagree there, the 42.5# injectors are a different brand and overall in my opinion the 50s are a better mannered injector capable of goin faster. With the right chip 42.5s can be great, but a lot of people have problems with them. Some don't like the 50s from rumors that they would lock up under high psi but most test have proven that false and if it does happen, its under some outrageous conditions of 100 psi or something you will never see. My vote is for 50s but I've hear good things about the 60s

edit and 55s are low impedence injectors that require a mod to the ECM

actually you can make ANY injector combo streetable...it's all in the TUNING and the CHIP

hell there's guys with 72 and 83 lb injectors running around on the streets with no problem...

50's are very popular, so there are a lot of chips and chip designers who have figured out how to design for 50's -- a large body of knowledge..

One might be able to make a pig fly, too, but it would require a lot of effort. It's easier to just start with a bird, in the first place.

I wouldn't hesitate to use any of those injectors with a Maxeffort, Extender, or Turbotweak chip.

Bigger is better. :)

I'd go by price shipped to your door.

Well a lot of people say that blue tops are better then the 50s for street use, but what kind of mods would make you need higher then 50s on street?

I just put 60# injectors on my car but haven't run it yet (got an Extender for the street and Turbotweak for the strip). Since I don't have any experience with them yet, I voted 50# injectors since that what the 60s are replacing.

The 50# idled like stock with the Extender, Lubrant and Testa chips. Drivability was not noticably different than stock - no tip in stumble, no hunting idle, etc. I did have a couple of issues with the car stalling when quickly coming off the gas at highway speeds but I don't think it's chip related.

Right now the 50# injectors have the most options (among those listed in the poll) with regard to chips but I'm sure the 60s will catch up in popularity as more people begin to use them.

As someone else pointed out, the 57s require an ECM mod so it's not really an apples to apples comparison with the 50s and 60s.

Last time I checked 57's were high impedence versions of the siemens 55's. so no mod would be needed. That is why i was comparing the three injectors.
