Street/Strip Tire Choice

For rims, I have the stock fronts on rear and stock rears on the front of my car. I was thinking of purchasing the Hoosier 295/50R16 Drag radials. Anyone use these?

I'm using the Hoosier 255/50R16's
So far on the street they seem a lot better than the M.T.'s. I don't remember if you told me why you flip flopped the wheels. I know the offset is different. What other reasons?

I got the car that way and stuck with it. The fronts on the rear actually look sweet. I will eventually run fronts all around.

Ya, I was very happy with M&H too. They used to sponsor me about 10years ago. Tom is a cool dude and I need to get back in touch with him again. I just dont see the tire size I need from them.

hossier DR's aren't street legal ... MT radials are look at how fast people have been with mt radials in the 4's 1/8 mile

I never had luck with the M.T.'s being consistent. Street legal??? That doesn't matter! J/k. I've never been harassed about tires. Been pulled over plenty of times officers have never looked. Couple times tires were pretty bald too

Ya, I really don't care about the street legal thing. My M&H's were pretty much slicks. I just need a couple grooves for Unexpected rain.
JDsGNX is running the new MT Pro tire and says best tire he's ever had street/strip.
Anyway, my decision is based on availability of a taller tire. I need at least 28" tall tire. Then again, I may just get some centerlines and go from there.

Yeah I did too, but I also got a lot of 1.6-1.7's. I had to launch just right, or forget it.

I wonder if they'll come out with more sizes? I think they just have the 275 for a 15" wheel.
