Here's a pic of my install of a 3" cat "test pipe", using a 3" by 4" long flex coupling to take some load off of the turbo and downpipe. It allows for minor misalignment w/ the dp.
If you do this, BE SURE to get the flex w/ the ss inner, "flex pipe liner!
The dp/pipe connection is a wrap clamp from Summit.

I had a problem with the crossover on my s2 engine. I used a flex coupling like that. Solved the issue. Nice work!
