I will be taking the front mount out of my street car to go back to stock appearing and am looking at stretch ICs that are currently available. It seems the only real candidates are Thunder Fabrication and Mease. From what I have gathered from reading threads found during a search, Thunder Fab. delivers on time, fits like the stocker (theirs is a 20 row) and has gone at least very low 11s over 120mph. It looks like the only gripe is the small neck used on this IC. Seems like a small gripe since this unit still has seen low 11s and high 10 second trap speeds. Price seems right, too.

I have read good things about the Mease 15 row unit from members here, but it seems delivery times can go long, etc. The prices between the two are close, but the Thunder Fab. unit does have 5 more rows.

All I really want from the T is 11.80s in full street trim (pump gas). The engine going in the car has ported, big valve irons, ESP stage 4 cam, ported upper and lower intake and appropriate fuel system. Occasionally I would like to sneak a low, low 11 or possibly high 10 out of it in race trim. The car is running a Turbonetics Stage 4 that has ported housings. I may replace it with a stock appearing TA62 or better down the road. Basically, I need a stretch that will compliment these mods without breaking the bank.

Your opinions?

Thunderfab

The ThunderFab unit now has 21 rows. The neck is not small. My car has run 11.3's @ 123+ on Nittos with a stock longblock and weighing in at 3,800+ pounds using the ThunderFab unit.

What other mods done to your car? Similar to the engine going in my T (which, BTW, is the same engine that is in my GN right now).

Ok, so with the engine going in I shouldn't have a problem achieving 10 second trap speeds with the car set on "kill" and certainly shouldn't have a problem with going 11.80s in street trim with the Thunder Fab. IC.

The GN went 10.70s with another 5psi to go until max. It is a 10.30 engine with the T70 I had on the car. Looks like the Thunder Fab unit is more than up to the task.

Thanks for the input!

I've gone 10.60's with my Stock location BGC 23 row iC. There was one up for sale on this board a while back ago.

Good Luck
