stripped head bolt threads in block.need thread size for helicoils

Hey guys i was looking at a spare block that i had laying around for another project and noticed at one time someone messed up some of the threads going into the block where the head bolts go. I'm gonna need to drill them out and tap them for a new helicoil. Can someone give me the size im looking for to do this? I know its a course thread but thats about it. Thanks guys.

7/16-14 is the thread size this happened to me also on the passenger side small head bolts all of them.... its 45.00 for the kit from napa. need a 1/2 inch drive drill for the drilling part.

You will need to use a jig to drill the hole to assure it is straight.

A head could be used for this.

Nick's right, will work just fine as long as they are STRAIGHT!!!
