after i got my car together i made the very stupid mistake of forgetting to tighten my oil line for the turbo so i lost about 3 qrts of oil when i started it up.....i tightened it up and its been running fine....i noticed some smoke from the engine though, at first it was from all the paint curing and its still smoking and its definatly oil....if i look under the car i can see it dripping off the crossiver pipe....i thought maybe there was just a bunch of oil laying around up there that was still making its way down the engine but its been 90 miles and its still doing it??? the wierd thing is i keep checking my oil level and its still full??? any ideas? i was thinking maybe the oil return line(please god no:( ) but im almost positive it is in there good(and itg only took about 2 hours:rolleyes: ) any ideas, thanks Steve

well
i think i can offer some advice, whether i am wrong or right.
but i just went thru this. it was driving me insane
i swear i thought i blew a rear main seal
while the car was running i could look underneath and see it dripping off the crosspipe, and smelt like a oil refinery.
i took the turbo off, tightened the drain tube up,
put it back on, and it was still doing it !!!!!!!!!!!

so 1 day i was checking my injector harness to make sure they were all snug n tight
and i had noticed, that there was a ton of oil , in the grooves of the intake, like where the intake bolts were on the passenger side, underneath the heat shield.

then i realized something, that it couldnt be the drain tube

it was the mother frickin Feed line,
the oil doesnt squirt out, it just drips
its not that high of Psi to squirt all over the place.
it was just drippin down the compressor housing and down the back of the intake.

i took some fitting wrap, like that white tape for pipe fitting stuff
.
wrapped it around and made sure to not block that Hole
screwed it in, and it has not dripped 1 drop since.

i had just gotten a new turbo and they gave me this brass fitting , on top for the oil feed. and it was not sealing properly.

try sealing that fitting up
im betting it is that

hope my aggrovating can help some one else out, lol

;)

check that pan!

Do youself the favor and check, double check, and recheck that oil pan, especially on the flywheel side. I found a big leak on my car, then I found a bolt missing! All the while, oil was drippin right down the crossover, and making a mess under there. Good luck!
