Ok, I feel like an idiot, but oh well, it aint the first time. I took my thermostat and housing off a week or so back while swapping radiators and fans, and now that the last parts are on their way here, I'm putting things back together. Only problem, I cant remember which way to install the thermostat. I would imagine putting it in upside down (if you can even do that) would not be a good idea. Before I start working on it later today, if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

It is called CRS. I have that too!!
"Short side" down towards the intake.
I think it ony fits one way.

well, when it came to install it, i noticed (DUH!) that on the thermostat, theres a spot where it has "TO RAD" with an arrow, so installed it that way... which actually is different from how you told me to isntall?? The shorter side (the side where the pellet comes to a point) goes towards the radiator according to the stamp on the thermo. Which kinda makes sense to me, as that would leave the spring and big half of the pellet sitting in the hot water in the block, which I assume would give it mroe accurate temp. response? Anyways, just thought I'd share my stupidity, and expereience with the rest of everyone. And Thanks Jerryl for helping a guy out... I ahte it when that CRS acts up, its a pain, isnt it?
