Are you able to do a radiator with a trans cooler only like a tradional style radiator (in a V8 car) mounted where oil cooler would be and no harness for fans?

Can the oil cooler be used for the trans? I have external coolers as well, just wanted to tag team trans coolers like my current setup. Perhaps with an adapter like this? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-991947erl I'm guessing oil cooler is higher flow than trans cooler (which is fine by me!) Thanks!
