Supercharger chatter

Anyone know where i can have a supercharger rebuilt in Michigan area or is it easier to get a good used one and just swap it out?... 98 gs

I have good used M90's for $120 shipped but its most likely just a bad coupler - $30 part and easy swap just remove the snout , swap coupler , apply a super thin bead of rtv ( lightly coat with your finger) , re install

zz performance , intense racing ,etc.. sell the couplers

thanks....that was great advice i really appreciate it im very familiar w the turbo buicks but the actual (supercharger unit) itself im not knowledgeable of the components yet....couple steps closer now!

......yeah when the car is just sitting idling u hear it, during driving u dont probably because there is a load on it and right when u shut the car off u hear it chatter for the last time as the motor stops...just sounds like play in there somewhere....thanks again

yeah that sounds like a coupler , I forgot one step you need to suck out the sc oil then replace it after you re install the snout , gm or zzp for the sc oil

yep im all over it now i just ordered the coupler from zz and i can pick up the sc oil from local dealer took a close look at how the alternator has to come off and maybe the fuse box cvr then the snout and its right there,your right fairly simple...basic hand tools oil refill app 2 1/2 bottles and im on my way...thanks again
