That was in Europe. I'm sure that was Km/hr. I saw the video. One run was 10.?? Damm fast for a Volvo! I had no idea people did that to my Grandma car!

If you want more boost, use a staged turbo setup. Like tractor pulling. Two smaller (or even stock) turbos, one feeding into the other, with intercoolers after each.Scott H.

thats like the supras and all of those guys get one large because its very erratic when the second turbo starts to spool. thats what i hear any way

It is not like the Supera, or any other production car. Re-read the whole thread.

They are not staged! One blowing into the other. That is what we are talking about here. Compound blowers.

on a supra the first turbo spools up to x amount of psi then when it gets there the second turbo kicks in and they both are spooled to x amount of psi

the dyno queen supras usually go up to a single larger turbo so that they will not race from a stop anymore. they always go from a 60mph roll to 170mph. a friend of mine put a TH400 and a big t-88 into his supra. his first untuned time was a 14.5 @126mph. his turbo would not spool until 5500rpm. lol.
two turbos would work better, in my opinion. you would have more CFMs compared to boost. 2 T3s at 15psi will be flowing a lot more air than a single T3 at the same amount of boost.

That sounds like a sequential set-up to me, and they are not staged, but rather parallel. The reason for going to one big turbo is cost. One turbo is always going to be cheaper than two. Space is another issue.

We have a Supra here in Sweden with a Turbonetics Y2k and TH400, that is dynoed at 813hp @ 24PSI and 92oct. With 108oct it performed 1067hp @ 33PSI. Best ET this year was 9.21 @ 155mph. So it´s possible to push a supra pretty good.

The persons who own/built the car are mid 20 and 30ish. The car is fully equipped, nothing is deleted (not even A/C).

Everything (almost) is possible, You just have to tune it right.

a supras 2jz motor is one of the strongest motors around. why are we talking about supras on a buick board?

The whole turbo Buick package is better than any Supra. Classic looks, respect on the street, did i mention the good looks?
