I just installed a 200-4r in my 67 Pontiac and I'm getting a harsh driveline bang when stopping with the superior servo. Can I install a cushion spring with this servo or do I need to get a sonnax or one from ck?
Great info on this site and thanks in advance for any help on the superior servo set up!

You need a different servo.

Thanks Bison - I love the overdrive. I just need more traction and to loose the driveline bang when stopping. What would be a good servo to run in my street driven 400?

You the cushion spring can be used with that servo. The inner servo piston will need a taper cut to allow for clearance of the factory steel inner piston and cushion spring. Will down shift soft when you do this. The Sonnax servo is the best if you are replacing.

The 400 servo is only used in manual 1st and to back the car up. Stock is all you need.

Thanks quickt. I went ahead and ordered a Sonnax this morning and will give it a try.

FYI - my reference to 400 is my engine size.

Great info on this site! Keep m fast!
