ANyone know how the superior shift kit is supposed to work? I have A new transmission shop work on my transmission and thay fixed my no 2-1 downshifts by replacing the Trans-go shift kit and replacing the seperator plate. Thay have install my Ckperformance Governor and it is working well witht the exception of it lite throttle shifts are a little delayed and FIRM. I had also tried the manuel shifting and it does not work at all. I can Start from first and manuel shift to second it will not so it is this normal? ANY help would be apperciated. I need my car ASAP and seems no one know whats up in MINNESOTA. My car show days are getting short. I tried calling Ckperformance I may need another try on a diffrent shift kit. SHould I be messing with the governor springs to get an earlier shift or do you think I may have more problems still elsewhere

Any way of knowing what was done to the valve body? Get a fresh BRF from CK and all your problems are fixed. These valve bodies are nice in their stockish from unless you making a lot of HP. I have a superior kit in mine and it firm but not too harsh, but I did not drill the separator plate. CK also has a shift kit if you can't afford another VB.

Leave the governor springs alone, try adjusting the TV cable. Is the trans fresh? It may have internal issues causing your problems.

Steve how does your 1-2-D work manuel low 2 nd and regular drive? Is it unlocked like driving a manuel?

If it's in 1 it stay there 2,3 etc. I have full control. If it's in OD it's fully automatic. Lock up is in 4th only via my chip. If I leave in in 2nd and stop it will start in 2nd. Both my TR's do this.

Which transgo kit was it that was removed ? Was it the one where the VB needs a hole drilled in it ??

Also was the separator plate from the CK Kit the one that was installed in the transmission ?

Not sure where you are in Minnesota, but Chris works along with John Freuler who has had good success with 2004rs in the Twin Cities. He is part owner of a place called Master Transmission and I think he is in St. Paul.
