SVS, Traction off, antilock lights all on

Intermittently, when my wife starts her 2002 Regal GS and pulls away from the curb, you will hear a grinding noise and then the Service Vehicle Soon, traction off, and antilock lights all come on. The grinding is more like a vibration really. It always seems to happen when you first start the car and then turn the wheel to pull away from the curb or turn the wheels when backing out of the driveway. It might go days in between doing it even when the circumstances that cause it are the same. Any ideas?

sounds like a wheel hub/wheel speed sensor issue
