Swapping an 87 engine into an 85

hello guys I'm a new turbo buick owner and diggin it! But i am doin a swap into the 85 with an 87 gn engine and don't have many people i know of in my area to bounce questions off of. I have never swapped one of these before and was wondering if the 87 and 85 have the same dimension for bolting onto my tranny and ds. i have a complete engine with all the harness and ecu.sensors all ready to plugin. Should i worry about the reliability of my oil pump ,is there better options to ensure proper oil flow. i'm in Massachusetts down on cape if anyone somewhat around and could lend some knowledge on this subject i would greatly appreciate this......... demisions are the same, why are you worried about the oil pump was it causing a problem before?

i have just completed my 84 resto i swapped in an 86 engine...if you need pictures of anything or any questions feel free to pm me .....

it will be a drop in and go, you will need a few parts that you did not mention, a few being electric fan, top rad holddown, fuel filter since the 84 85 is on the front cover. possibly some ps mods if your 85 had the hydroboost or not and i am sure a few other surprises that will pop up as they always do.

Thanks guys i will put some pics of the engine i am going to drop in... i do have the fan ,intercooler,harnessess and ecu from the donor car to make it easier
