What would be a fair price to pay someone to take the tranny out of my t-type and put it in my GN and then put the GN tranny back in my t-type? BTW, the t-type is a column shift and the GN is (of course) in the console. Would this be a problem? Thanks, R.B.

No, it won't be a problem but you may have to change some bracketry around for the floor shift. I don't know what to tell you on price, I R&R trannies for a living and if you had a trans shop do it, it would probably run you about $400. If someone came to me privately I would do it a hell of a lot cheaper, as far as trans installs go these are among the "easy" ones. Hope this helps.

Assuming 2 lifts and 2 tranny jacks doing what you want to do will take about 5-6 hours if everything goes well and bolts aren't rusted up in the mounts and brackets, and nothing breaks such as ground wires, tranny lines, etc.

In the driveway swapping 2 out could take 8-10 hours.

$400 for 2 would be the going rate since most places charge $200 for one swap.

If it was at the shop I work at with all the available tools, I could get it done start to finish in 4 hours or less..... however on the ground would take a lot longer.

hope this helps.
