sway bar hitting chasis?

hey guys,i was undet ther car today and noticed that my sway bar is hitting the chasis and has dented it? but the sway bar doesnt look to be bent and the bushings are good? the car is stock height too,any ideas what happend there :confused:

According to my GN, your sway bar is upside down. It needs to be removed and flipped end for end so the curve between the frame and the a-arm is shape like a smile :) instead of a frown :(

thanks for the help,i thought about it early but didnt think the previous owner was that much of a moron,guess im wrong :mad:
 
After seeing that you might wanna take a look around and make sure nuttin else is upsidedown :rolleyes:

the things ive found in this car make me think twice about some people :frown: on the side note,I puled the turbo out and it was pretty good so im putting in new gaskets and cleaning up the engine bay a little bit

its not cracked,the factory chasis is 2 piece in the front so it kind of split open,Ive wrapped about 3 g-body chasis so im just going to pull it out and bead over it
 
Man, that thing must have made a LOT of noise, as it was pounding its way into the frame. Not to mention causing some handling problems. Car would start to lean in a turn, then the sway bar would hit the frame- sudden change in roll rate. Could NOT have been good, or safe.
