Jim, the 54 Skylark convertable was one of Harley Earl's most sought after production cars. The pic does it no justice. You should try and search one down and see it in person. I had a customer years ago with a yellow one. What a beautiful piece of automobile. It's nearly as sensuous as an XKE convertable. Mark

Dad had a 54 or 55 Hardtop 2-tone red & white when I was a tyke.. He bought it at Sommerville buick Mass.
Had a Hydramatic trans, but when reverse quit in 1963 off to the junkie Then he moved on to a RAMBLER UHG!

The 1953 and 54 Skylarks were VERY special cars for Buick at the time and their most expensive too.

The '53 was introduced to coincide with Buick's 50th anniversary.

The Kelsey-Hayes spokes are too cool!
