Switch pitch converters

Remember those. Not strictly Buick related but I was wondering if they exist at all these days. How did they work?

Sure they are still around.

They are discussed quite often at www.v8buick.com.

They worked quite well but being a 12" converter, they tended to lose efficiency as the stall was pushed toward 3000 rpm.

I ran them behind a BBC a few years ago.
