Switching betweem chips at the track

Curious if I can swap in different chips between runs at the track or would the computer still need to learn and be driven around for 20min to learn after swapping the chips?

Thanks for the responses. Was pretty sure I've heard of people switching chips at the track to try out different things but I wasn't quite sure how that worked.
