Put together a completely stock hotair car for a daily driver. The fuel pump is weak. Since Im not going all out with this one but wouldnt mind a slight upgrade I bought a Syclone pump. AC part# EP381 from AutoZone. Besides its an instock part and the TR pump is not. However the #s on the pump itself dont seem to match anything that Ive found including a search in the General section where someone posted the #s on theirs.
#s stamped (in the metal) on mine if Im reading correctly is: 25167997, 0654-207. Also has printed the number 992 just below the outlet nozzle on the white plastic.
Does anyone know if this indeed indicates it to be a Syclone/Typhoon/TTA pump? Wouldnt be the first time I got the wrong part in the right box, if it isnt.

Might just return it and go with the MASTER (#E3270) version for a few bucks less with a better warranty if I dont find out for sure on the ACDelco. At least I have been able to verify that one.

Also anyone who has run this pump, did you add the "extender pipe" as it says you need to do at gnttype.org since the pump is slightly shorter than the TR for using the pulsator? Or just go with a length of rubber hose?
Lastly, which strainer do you use? The part# for the Syclone or for the TR??

TIA

Us SyTy owners throw the stock syty pumps away and get Walbro's.

:D :D :D

I don't consider a syty to be making more power than a buick either, atleast if it does not enough to justify the syty pump as being ok in a buick. IMO.

Not sure about part numbers or anything, but i got my pump from poston which is supposed to be just a modded syclone pump. It came with just a longer piece of really thick hose to compensate for the shorter length of the pump. Not positive on how it was modded, but it just had a ty-wrap around part of it i think.
