Just curious as to what the symptons are when you are spraying too much alky? power loss? sluggish? high/low exhaust temps? none?

Thanks,
Nate

the car will bog out and sound/feel like its stumbling. ask me how I know:D

when i was still using the stock ecm and would turn the alky up way up the car felt like it wanted to pull but was bogging as well.

I have razor's kit. I am not experiencing any issues or anything, but was just wondering what the symptons were. I know the way to check is to turn down the alky until you get some knock, and then bump it up to get rid of it....

So it sounds if you get some bogging it could be a sign of too much alky...

Thanks,
Nate

Love it. couldnt have said it better myself:biggrin:

The symptom is more horsepower :)

You could run 100% methanol as a fuel and make significantly more power than if you ran gasoline.

I do think what you are asking is what is the result of running an overly rich mixture as a result of excessive added fuel via the alcohol injection kit.

When that happens you have the same result as any overly rich mixture which is decreased performance.

The easiest way to know is with a wideband o2. A wideband should be mandatory on these cars, I don't know why so many still don't have one.
