I do see one problem with putting it there, Nick...How are you going to check the oil??? Once you get everything plumbed in, it's going to be darn near impossible to check...BUT, I do agree with you, it would *look* the best right there...The other problem with that is, I would use an 86/7 TB instead of the 84/5 TB...The reason being is that the 86/7 TV and throttle cables "pull" from the backside of the TB where the 84/5 TB "pulls" from the frontside...I hope this makes some sense...I went through some trials and errors when I was doing my relocation, and that is a little about what I found out...
the only way to use the 84/5 TB is like cool84 did...Just mount it down lower near the firewall at the back of the intake...That way you don't have to worry about getting any other cables for the TV or throttle or even the mount bracket...The geometry of the bracket alone with the arm on the TB itself needs to be right...The throttle cable isn't really that critical, but the TV cable is...If it isn't right, your tranny will fry, because the line pressure has to increase in the tranny at the right time...If it's too late, you'll burn the clutch packs out, etc...
BTW, is that just a mockup or is someone actually doing that relocation??? Gonna need some really long cables to pull from the front of the 84/5 TB there...
