T-Link Help 84 Gn With 87 Ecm

ok i cant get turbo link to connect to my car. its a 84 vin code 9 with the 87ecm. i cant firgure it out. any help would be great. tlink V2.13

i dont get it. im out here right now with the car and have been tring for about 30 min to get this thing to connect i even tried changing the jumper and nothing.

Not sure about that version. On the newer version there is a way to test the connection with the cable through the program itself. If there is anything like that on 2.13 I would do that and make sure that the cable is working and the program is communicating with the ecm. Other than that make sure you have vehicle chosen on Tlink as 87 not 84. Contact Ken Mosher if you need to, he will guide you through it and help you figure out whats wrong. I know think that he has a discounted price if you want to simply send in your old cable and upgrade to the new cable so that you can then download the new version for free and use it (upgrading the cable would be the only cost, I think). There is probably something up with the cable itself or the configuration for the cable on the program if you have issues connecting. On your cable are there any LEDs that show if there is power to it or info flowing back and forth?

i think i fiugred it out but wont be sure till i get my dash re installed. it think it was i installed the software wrong on my comp.

well after searching this board for about a hour i found a post where tlink 2.13 will not work with windows xp.

And now for this latest update! LOL

Try updating to the newest version I think it's like 4.0.1?. It works on my cheap a%^ laptop and it has xp on it. No problems with it. Very awesome program.
