That was the first thing I noticed, actually...because my GN has the weatherstripping worn out in the exact same spot. That'll be my project for next summer. From what I understand, the same piece of weatherstripping runs up the A-pillar, surrounds the front, inside and rear roof sections where each T-top rests, then runs down the B-pillar.
I don't know what price he was asking for it, but (to the O.P.) be realistic. Don't run the other way just because the car has a bit of rust; it's a 30-year-old car, after all, and unless the guy is asking a ton of cash for it, it might still be a good car if the powertrain works great. If you're looking for a 100% rust-free GN, you'll need a big wallet...
