t top ?

just wondering im installin gmy new t top plates to the roof this is the metal piece that the weatherstripping attaches to
now my question is there any sealent needed to be applied before i install this metal piece?

ARE YOU REFERRING TO THE T-BAR? I USE 3M STRIP CALKING UNDER THE T-BAR,IT'S BEEN A FEW YEARS SINCE I DID ONE..
