Turbo is in great shape with just a few passes on it and has a Precision housing. I only made one clean untuned quarter mile pass on it and it went 11.2@122 spinning the slicks on the Morocco track. $800 shipped

Forgot to mention that I have a 9" AC n/l converter that stalls at 3000 on the foot brake, and it spooled the turbo good for me with a very powerful top end charge. I was able to build about 8 lb boost fairly quick at launch. I'm only selling because I decided not to run TSS, so I'll no longer need this turbo I enjoyed trying out.

I bought it to try out because I thought I might run TSS and have recently decided not to run the TSS class. This turbo is special made to be the largest turbo for that class. Nothing wrong with the turbo and it's still on the car. It's actualy a little more turbo than I want for my street car, killer top end power. I had a 61 before this which ran real hard, 7.0 @ 97 in the eighth, and this 66 pulls much harder at the same boost levels.
 
COVERTOR

OK IM RUNNING MY T66BB NOW WITH 82 HOUSING AND CANT GET A GOOD 60". GOING TO A 3200-3400 10" CONVERTOR, HOPEFULLY THIS IS ENUF:confused:
 
Im running a 3200-3400 10" with a ta61.No way in hell are you gonna be able to spool 66 with it,even its a BB.

Hell of a deal on this turbo.If I had the $$$,id buy it.If u wanna do a cash+trade deal on your old 61,let me know.Its got maybe 500 more miles on it.
 
I had a 66 on my old car and could get 15psi of the foot brake.I was using a 3200 converter and had the big brakes in the rear.If you are having problams spooling you may want to check your waist gate.
 
SPOOLING

IT BREAKS THE TIRES AT ABOUT 2600 RPM AND THAN DIES. I BELIEVE THE PREVIOUS CONVERTOR IS TOO TIGHT (ARTT CARR 16930 N/L 2800-3000 STALL)
I WAS TOLD 3200-3400 IS MINIMUM FOR T66 AS PER TURBONETICS. WITH THE AC I RUN A 188/182 60" AT 11.2 123.

IF I GET THIS THING TO 60" IM IN THE TENS ALL DAY....

ARE YOU SAYING I NEED MORE STALL THAN 3200-3400?

I think you have enough stall but you have the larger exhaust housing which could hurt your 60ft. My stall is only around 3000 on the foot brake but it is a 9" n/l and I have the precision housing.

I CAN HOLD THE CAR TO ABOUT 6PNDS BOOST WITH THE AC 9",
TRYING OUT THE 10" 3200-3400 WHILE MY A/C 2800-3000 IS BEING RESTALLED TO JASON CRAMER SPECIAL AT ART CARR...

THE 10" IS A BUDDIES IM TRYING OUT, SO IT WILL BE FOR SALE IF IT DOESNT WORK FOR ME, OR AFTER THE A/C COMES BACK.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS I'LL TRY A SMALLER CAM OR HOUSING, BACK TO 63 INSTEAD OF THE 82..

ANY OPINONS ON THIS?:confused:

BY THE WAY ITS A POSTON 10" 3200-3400 HOW IS THIS COMPANYS CONVERTOR, ANY ONE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM?:cool:
 
I have a te-66 also and i can just get 6pounds out of it even with a vigilante 36oo stall

so im not sure what it takes to get these to spool and i have a prescion housing

Paypal received, thanks! Rich, I'll get the turbo off the car, boxed up real well, and sent off to you with a UPS tracking number. Drive safely on the street with this 66, it's wicked. Should do everything you want it to at the track, unless you want to run faster than low 10s;) :p
