TA Performance says they are all sold out on the first batch...

Is anyone here running it? Anyone planning on getting it?

Hopefully they make enough so that I can buy one when I can afford it.

I have baby #1 on the way so I doubt I'll ever really afford it!

Well for the record, I am saving since the Stage II Iron blocks are few and far between....Best of luck with your addition to be.. I am happy to say that I am finally over the Daycare/infant/toddler costs so things are better now.;)

Mine's at the machine shop now...looks gorgeous. The price is terrific, considering an aluminum Dart smallblock goes for $3995.

Have you been given a price on machining it, the only reason i ask is Bill Anderson had stated he had one and it needed to be machined:confused: Nick even asked Bill to give him feedback as to what machine work needed to be done. I am too curios as i thought these blocks at 3k where ready to go just some minor stuff. Thanks for any feedback.

So a guy buys one of these block for 3500, plus shipping. Then, he sends it out to be finished? So, how much does a guy have in this block before it's actually ready to be built??

How about some replies on this block that has been shipped? At least 50 people have it, right?

I'll take a look at it again Thursday when iget to the shop so I can elaborate. I remember the rear cap needs some work for drain back, I think it needs to be decked and other stuff, nothing major, dont be discouraged, I would expect to have to do some machining on ANY aftermarket block. I think T/A has done all the maching to it they can, the rest will be up to the builder / assembler.

Does anyone with the TA block have a weight on that? I'd like to figure $/lb.

No No... no $3,000..... all are $3,500 and you get a block..... it comes with the caps and hardware. HTH's.

Thanks Bill.

Please let us know what the customer will pay to get the block ready to build.

I second that.. Bill what rods, crank and pistons are you planning on using?

49 from what I can tell it is the block and caps.. anyone have any different?

Are the crank, rods and pistons all extra?
Absolutely! If you wait for the Eagle stuff you can probably do the bottom for about $2,100.00 for these pieces plus J&E's. Figure double that with what is currently available.

When I was down Bill's the last week I picked up that TA block.... It could be just me but it felt as heavy as my 109 iron piece.
