I just bought a turbo from someone who said it was a TA60 built by John Craig.

When it came it looked kinda like a stocker becuase of the alternating fins on the inlet side.

So I measuerd the inlet and exhaust outlet.

The inlet was 4 tenths bigger and teh outlet was 2 tenths bigger...

There is a .930 in marker right next to the exhaust outlet.

there is a .60 stamped in the "tunnel/intercooler side"

I know the exhaust housign is a .63 but below that are a m30 and a 01 stamped.

Did I get screwed?

Phil

Is this the one on e-bay recently? If so, I was looking at it also and the seller could not give any solid info on so I got scared. Hope you didn't get screwed!!

Only way to find out IMHO.....

Take it apart and measure the turbine and compressor wheels. Measure the inducer (fins that's inside) and exducer(fins that stick out) on both wheels.Without those measurements it's pretty hard to tell what it is.As I have found out firsthand. I hope you got what you got what you paid for.Oh and don't forget to mark the exhaust and compressor housings in relation to the center section to get the original 'clocking" of the turbo, good luck.HTH...
