I have added a Buick tach and have a connection question. Where should I get the tach signal from? It seems that it would be easier to steal the signal from the exsisting led tach. I have read other posts about the wire behind the alternator BUT how do you test it to make sure it works? And how do you get the wire through the firewall? Thanks

Daniel,

Come through the firewall down below the powermaster. There is a grommet on the firewall that is easy to come through.
The connector behind the alt. is easy to get to also.It will work. You can come look at mine if you have any questions.

Thanks,I bought it off ebay about a year and a half ago. Just never got around to putting it in, until now. It is a GM made accessory, thats what I like about it. It came to me in the original GM box which I thought was very cool. I had to make the mounting bracket for it. It came with one but it was designed to screw to the dash or metal band it to the steering column. That was not going to happen.
