Tach hookup?

Where would you hook an aftermarket tach in a TR?
Also got a tach for my 1991 S-10 4cyl. Where do I hook that up. the dam distributor is so low I can't find wires running to it.

I dont know where you can hook up a tach on the S-10 but on a TR there is a 1 pin green connector behind the alternator. You can hook it up there. Some aftermarket tachs need a converter from www.casperselectronics.com to work. Something about different wave forms that some tachs cant read.
